Sugar Spice and Dynamite! Coco Dynamo has set a blazing trail behind them in their 10 year career. Beyond the Va Va Vixens, their flamboyant and dynamic work has been seen with Turners Circus and Harlots and Hellions. Based in Louisville, they perform rope, silks, sling and lyra with their partner in matrimony and crime, Slim Jim Dandee.
Trained in musical theater from a young age, Coco has been performing since childhood with song and dance. They found circus later in life but have thrown themselves into performance, training and teaching. They have trained under Alex Allen, Waverly Jones, Liza Rose and recently completed the professional training program at Aloft Circus Arts.
Twisting classic aesthetics with a dark edge, Coco was inspired by vintage sociaIites and the dark undercurrents that were polished away by glamor. With the magic of circus, Coco examines that darkness to synthesize a balance between hyperrealism, vulnerability and strength.
Cooter Brown first graced the Vixens stage in early 2014 and continues to impress audiences with his skills and amazing strength. He thrives on making art with so many loving and caring friends and loves watching the audience have fun. His heart of gold outshines all the rhinestones!
Fun fact: He’s everyone’s go-to guy for pet-sitting because he loves animals and they love him.
It was 1980-something when Dark Genie first graced the stage. Since then, she has filled her bottle with nearly 35 years of tap, jazz, ballet, modern, show choir, college dance team, gymnastics, belly dance and ballroom dance…not to mention a Dance Minor, a few Radio City Rockette auditions, a brief stint as a college mascot and magician's assistant. She has also worn many hats including that of a dance teacher, dance team coach and (her personal favorite) choreographer.
In 2017, after a few years hiatus from the stage, Dark Genie was recruited by a lifelong friend and dance partner to become a Vixen. Her addiction to dance, the stage, the lights, the glitter, the crowd…could no longer be contained. She strives to grant every wish of her fellow Vixens because she is so thankful and grateful to be on the stage!
Dark Genie is a daughter, sister, mother and wife. But she always has been, and always will be a dancer.

After a promising start in musical theater during his formative years, Jet threw it all away and veered off into the seamy underworld of rock and roll. Playing guitar and singing in a variety of bands over the decades, he finally settled into the role of guitar player and backup vocalist for the local Louisville band Rifle where he also handles recording, producing, and a fair amount of the art and graphic design duties. More recently he was tricked into joining the Va Va Vixens by Lisa Frye, which he enjoys immensely.
Lately he can also be found handling the sound engineering, working security, and occasionally the box office at Art Sanctuary.
In his spare time, Jet enjoys piña coladas, gettin' caught in the rain, the feel of the ocean, and the taste of champagne. Actually… piña coladas are gross. Bleh.
